Project Analyst - Finance Transformation

We are seeking to hire a contractor for a 12-month contract as Senior Analyst (Projects), Finance in the Finance Project Management team. This addition is crucial to meet the evolving expectations and requirements of finance and business projects involving FIN, IT, LO, and other stakeholders. This position requires a self-starting individual who can work independently with strong accountability to ensure the timely delivery of agreed-upon or ad hoc tasks.

• Act as the primary point of contact between IT teams and stakeholders during project cycles to streamline finance workflow processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen controls.
  
• Understand user's needs and consolidate requirements for finance projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to define solutions, assisting senior-level business stakeholders in making informed decisions.
  
• This includes conducting option evaluations, prioritisation exercises, cost & benefit analyses, and establishing time-lines.
  
• Proactively provide project status updates, assess risks, escalate issues, and propose mitigation strategies and alternatives to project managers.
  
• Perform data analysis and mapping in collaboration with finance teams.
  
• Prepare presentation decks for management or project stakeholders.
  
  
  

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Systems
  
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Project Management, preferably within the banking or insurance industry.
  
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working independently to deliver results.
  
• The ability to collaborate effectively with IT, operations, and business units.
  
• Strong project management skills, complemented by analytical and time management abilities.
  
• Maturity and a strong focus on teamwork.
  
• Experience of handling large data sets and performing financial analysis.
  
• Highly proficient in Microsoft applications (E.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Candidates with knowledge of Oracle systems, Alteryx, Power BI, Hyperion, and AS400 would have an advantage.
