Pay：HK$19,188 – HK$23,982 per month

Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

1.      Assist nurses for patient admission, nursing care and discharge.

2.  Assist doctors/ nurses to perform procedure or investigation like bedside hemorrhoid banding, proctoscopy, bedside ultrasound guided biopsy and etc.

3.      Perform cleansing, disinfection and assembling of instruments.

4.      Provide patient instruction according to established protocols.

5.      Assist nurses to provide pre-operative education for patient.

6.      Perform reception duties and assist in inventory checking.

7.      Assist nurse to keep stock of medication.

8.      Assist nurse to perform clinical audit and data analysis.

9.      Assist nurse to prepare training materials in staff training e.g OSH, basic infection control, MHO etc.

10.   Assist nurse to prepare duty roster.

11.   Perform clerical duties as instructed.

12.   Preferably to perform blood taking, ECG, set up intravenous site for infusion / injection and prepare for ventilator set up and self-test if needed.

13.   Assist nurse to handle specimens.

14.   Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Entry Requirements

1.      Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks); and 

2.      Completion of structured departmental training (see Remarks); and

3.      Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Preferable Attributes

1.      Holding of certificate of Health Care Assistant / Care-related Support Worker*.

2.   Post-secondary education or holding diplomas / certificates from recognized technical or tertiary institutions or technical institute in a relevant discipline.

3.      Holding of Phlebotomist certificate.

4.      Good communication skill.

5.      Fluency in Putonghua.

6.      Experience in the use of statistics and data processing software (e.g. Excel, SPSS).

Remarks

2.   Applicants who do not meet entry requirement (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training including the structured departmental training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the examination / assessment after training.

3.   Serving staff who completed F.3/ S.3 with at least 2-year care-related experience may also apply.  Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by the HA are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.
