Job Description
Main Purpose of the Job:
- Responsible of producing and consolidating accurate and high quality financial information to head office and to local management in a timely manner and according to Audemars Piguet Finance Manual for business decision making.
- In charge of all financial and corporate tax matters.
- Strict implementation of Audemars Piguet Internal Control Policies and ensure corporate governance.
Main Responsibilities:
Accounting & Tax
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly closing for APHK and AP Macao group entities.
- Book all relevant general ledger entries in accordance with group accounting policies.
- Review and ensure accuracy of A/R, A/P, cash and other transactions prepared by staff.
- Prepare and submit the reporting package:
- Sales Flash
- Inventory Reconciliation
- Inter-company Reconciliation
- Cash flow Forecast
- A/R Overdue/Customer Analysis
- Monthly Closing and Reporting Package
- Capital Expenditure Analysis
- Comments Reporting
- Human Resources Analysis (by liaising with local Human Resources)
- Prepare year end audit and liaise with audit firm.
- Provide all relevant documentation of the closing.
- Liaise with tax representative of the annual tax return and prepare the documents upon enquiry.
- Liaise with bankers and provide the documents for banking matters.
- Liaise with insurance brokers or agents and provide documents for insurance matters.
- Prepare other reports as requested by head office or local management for statistics, margin improvement, investment analysis or finance related.
- Prepare transfer price documentation and liaise with tax firms.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting including Risks and Opps analysis with good variance commentaries.
- Provide good variance analysis on monthly, quarterly and fiscal year end i.e. significant Profit and Loss items and Balance Sheet items to support management team for business improvement and strategy decision.
- Prepare and submit reporting package in compliance with head office and local management’s instructions and valid assumptions.
- Prepare regular or ad hoc financial analysis or simulations per requests from local management or head office
- Make recommendations to local management or head office for cost savings or margin improvements.
- Frequent participation to company inclusive of BTQ retail controls and discuss issues or make recommendations to ensure compliance and/or improvements for company’s strategic plans and investments.
Controlling
- Implement AP internal control policies.
- Business partnering with management team to improve efficiency or effectiveness of processes.
- Conduct risks self-assessment and propose corrective measures or additional/new controls.
- Review capital expenditure request and monitor/track the progress with project manager until completion.
- Organize control on costs to ensure respect of budget.
- Ensure credit limits and risks exposures are minimized.
Others
- Provide training and coaching to other Finance members and advice to other colleagues if required
- Collaborate with Asia Business Analyst or CH teams to conduct financial applications training to local colleagues.
Company Secretary & Legal
- Prepare and submit notice for AGM and board meetings.
- Prepare agenda and resolutions for APHK.
- Keep the minutes of AGM and board meetings.
- Maintain statutory registers including members, directors and secretary, directors’ interests and charges.
- Filing annual return for APHK.
- Liaise with company secretary of Macao to ensure compliance with the above.
- Liaise with local legal firms and head office legal team to coordinate.
- Liaise & review with head office legal team for contracts or other documents.
Risk Management
- Observe, monitor and report legal and fiscal frameworks and issues.
- Assess and control any administrative, operational, customs, legal, fiscal, social risks.
- Intervene and follow-up key issues in order to minimize risk exposure and secure a coherent and efficient risk management.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with tertiary education
- at least 10 years relevant experience of which 2 to 3 years gained with Big 4 audit firms preferable
- Retail experience is preferred
- MUST currently hold the position of Finance Manager; candidates of lesser position will not be considered
- Experience in both Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis
- Retail mind set oriented
- Team player – able to communicate and work with other departments.
- Supervise team of 4 accounting staff and be able to develop capabilities and motivate the team
- Fluent in English and Cantonese
- World class ERP system e.g. SAP knowledge preferable
- Good computer skills and literacy in Excel and Word
- Able to travel to Macao on frequent basis
