Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Resource Officer to join our school. As a Procurement and Resource Officer, you will be responsible for managing all school purchases of teaching and learning resources, and managing budget and inventory for the curriculum department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forge strong partnerships with teachers, administrators, and vendors to source the most effective resources that fuel innovative learning.
- Oversee all school purchases, including equipment, curriculum materials, and teaching aids, ensuring they align with our vision of nurturing the whole child.
- Manage budget and inventory for the curriculum department, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Coordinate logistics for school events, field trips, and forest school visits, enhancing our project-based learning environment.
- Maintain detailed inventory and loan records for teaching materials and IT equipment.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department for seamless payment processing and with the Operations Department to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
- Champion our school’s commitment to innovation by identifying and implementing creative procurement strategies.
- Assist in ad hoc projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of our educational offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the education sector, or substantial procurement experience in other industries.
- Degree holder, preferably major in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other relevant disciplines.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Mature, well organized, able to work under pressure and independently.
- Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibilities, and willing to learn.
- Excellent computer skills, including Google Drive and database management.
- A good understanding of the school’s needs and vision, and the ability to align the procurement strategy with them.
- Good at budget control and detail-oriented in inventory management.
- Good communication skills for negotiation for the best deals.
- Immediate availability will be an advantage.
