Job Purpose

The jobholder is responsible for overseeing the processes, new initiatives and projects of Personal Banking credit approval, including reengineer to streamline credit operation procedures to meet business objectives.

The jobholder is also responsible for processing retail loan applications, including secured, wealth management and unsecured products.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess credit operation procedure and new initiatives to streamline the operation processes, without foregoing credit controls and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver continuous process enhancement and monitor of Key Performance Indicators.
• Assist supervisor to formulate application and approval procedures and guidelines for retail lending products.
• Assist supervisor in projects related tasks, including provide credit user requirement and user acceptance tests. 
• Conduct credit review, recommendations and approval (with delegated credit authority) to credit proposals of retail loan products in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies, and guidelines, as well as in compliance with the requirements of the local regulatory.
• Co-ordinate with internal and external parties for credit risk control initiatives.
   

 Requirements

• Degree or above in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in retail credit risk cycle, in which at least 3 years of solid experience in credit approval of retail lending products.
• Experience in credit operation streamlining and project related tasks e.g. user requirements and UAT are preferred.
• ACIB / FRM would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in database software such as SAS, VBA, Tableau, MS-Access, Excel.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
