ICHK Kindergarten & Primary is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Communications Officer to join our close knit community school in June 2024.

Job Summary

• Tell the story of our mission driven school by developing engaging and persuasive content both digital and physical that drive awareness, engagement, affinity, and demand generation
• Ensure that existing members of our community are informed in a timely, efficient and culturally appropriate manner of ongoing events at school, via weekly bulletins, newsletters, brochures and ad hoc messaging as required
• Seek ways to spread awareness of the school's achievements both within Hong Kong and internationally 
• Be responsible for creating content that appears on the school website and is responsible for its updates and continuous improvement
• Support internal communications, marketing, and recruitment activities for our school
• Implement cost-efficient and effective marketing campaigns, utilising web-based and digital platforms
• Build a strong understanding and relationships with all sections of our community to better understand how to effectively communicate the school’s story

Essential Requirements

• Degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, English, or related fields.
  Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Excellent writing and speaking skills in English are essential. Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Chinese is preferred
• Affinity with the school's mission and vision
• Strong, emotion-evoking storytelling skills with a knack for creating content that has a good balance between thought leadership and marketing objectives
• Experience planning and overseeing execution of a variety of content spanning text, photos, and video
• Experience in developing impactful website content
• Experience of the effective use of social media to raise awareness of the school’s story
• Interest and ability to learn new technologies and new applications
• Analytically inclined with a knack for understanding what data means and how to use it to continually increase the value you deliver through your content
• High performing self-starter, with proven ability to work both independently as well as a member of teams
• Excellent organisation and project management skills with the ability to coordinate projects,
  determine priorities, set deadlines, complete projects accordingly, and respond well to pressure

Desired

• Bi Lingual in English and Chinese
• Experience with developing multimedia messaging
• Familiarity with Wordpress based websites
• Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and Adwords
