The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2000 with the mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness through applied research. ASTRI’s core R&D competence in various areas is grouped under five Technology Divisions: Communications Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Trust Technologies, Advanced Electronic Components and Systems, IoT Sensing and AI Technologies, and Innovative Mind.
It is applied across six core areas which are Smart City, Financial Technologies, New Industrialisation and Intelligent Manufacturing, Digital Health, Application Specific Integrated Circuits, and Metaverse.
Over the years, ASTRI has nurtured a pool of research, I&T talents and received numerous international awards for its pioneering innovations as well as outstanding business and community contributions. To date, ASTRI has transferred almost 1400 technologies to the industries and been granted more than 1050 patents in the Mainland, the US, and other countries.
To support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world-class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide wide-ranging support to both teams of Talent Acquisition (TA) and HR Operations (HRO)
- Assist in the administration of recruitment activities including but not limit to letters of appointment, work visa applications, audits, panel interview logistics, co-ordinations of campus activities, managing and filing confidential information, and new joiner pre-onboarding formalities etc.
- Support on various HR initiatives in reinforcing professional HR services
- Proactively follow up assignments to effectively meet deadlines and commitments of HR projects
- Maintain confidential records and files to perform regular HR-related analytics and compile reports accurately and distribute them in a timely manner
- Assist in other ad hoc projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity in sizable organisations. Candidates with less working experience may be considered for the position of Specialist, Human Resources (Temporary)
- Comprehension of HK Employment Ordinance and other related regulations
- Desk research capacity and communications on data searching, collection and presentation
- Absolute integrity in keeping confidential information
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Resourceful team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work well in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy
- Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing
- General knowledge of human resources, IT, and accounting is a plus while knowledge in data management tool such as VLOOKUP and Pivot table in Excel is an advantage
- Proficient in English and Chinese, both spoken and written

The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five-day week.
