What you will do: 

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his/her superior: 
•    Ensures all production occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies
•    Defend the PP Line by working as far back as OC stage to ensure the process starts on time
•    Work across functions to ensure sampling is completed in line with agreed factory TnA
•    Own Mass Production start date & follow up
•    Sound knowledge of inspections for garments and home textiles and the production process of those items
•    Provide manufacturing technical support and procedures to reduce manufacturing costs, improved quality levels and production efficiencies when identified 
•    Able to ascertain ‘true bottleneck or issue’ and set up improvement plans with any factory
•    Notify key stakeholders of any major or critical production and quality issues identified 
•    Works closely with QA team to resolve any critical or major issues found during 20% testing
•    Conducts and or supports when required pre-production meetings in factory
•    Work closely with our agencies in all countries to ensure they follow the aligned way of working and hold factories to those requirements  
•    Perform unannounced audits and inspections when requested and issue CAP’s
 

What you will need: 

• 3-5 years relevant experience in Quality Consultant roles and factory inspection practice is an added advantage. 

•    Possess strong technical expertise in variety of garments and or home textiles
•    Autonomous, proactive, detailed and commercially minded
•    High degree of works ethics and integrity
•    Good command of both spoken and written English. Additional languages is an advantage
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications especially Excel, Word & Powerpoint
•    Frequent travel is required
