About Hong Kong Design Centre
Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. We are on a public mission to promote wider and strategic use of design and design thinking to foster innovation, create business value and improve societal well-being.

The Roles:
- Work with the project team to plan, organise, execute and deliver HKDC programmes (including design competition, events, community and public engagement activities) and other special projects on time and within budget;
- Handle daily communications, logistics and provide administrative support for efficient project and event management;
- Proactively and effectively research, reach out, liaise and coordinate with local/overseas clients, partners, collaborators, vendors and participants such as design units, organisations, and community shareholders to take part in the programme;
- Assist in digital outreach, such as social media, website content management, for programme promotion;
- Provide support for marketing tasks, including but not limited to market research, content creation, campaign planning, and performance analysis;
- Coordinate all project materials and documents with relevant parties such as promotional materials and activities information with related parties, on-site decoration at event venues, and document and write-up reports for the events and happenings;
- Attend and assist with activities and events related to the programme as requested; and
- Perform ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent in design, art administration, cultural management, event/ exhibition management, marketing, government relations are preferred;;
- Min. 2 years of relevant work experience. Experience in running programmes related to research, design competitions, design thinking workshops, community engagement, event & exhibition, arts and cultural, and government relations is an advantage;
- Candidate with the same education level but less than 2 years of work experience will be considered as Project Associate;
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin);
- Bring a strong conceptual approach and a keen understanding of design thinking process and the role of design and interventions at public spaces;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Proactive, detail-minded, responsible, adaptable and resourceful self-starter with tactful communication and interpersonal skills to work among diverse communities;
- Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese Word Processing; and
- A team player with a positive attitude and a passion in design and creative industry
