Ebenezer is a Christian charitable agency founded in 1897.  We provide comprehensive education, rehabilitation, boarding and employment support services to visually impaired children and youth, including those with multiple disabilities, and visually impaired elderly. We are looking for a right candidate to join our team. 

Job Scope:

• Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and reporting
• Oversee and supervise subordinates to handle daily accounting operation works, treasury functions and internal control on accounting processes.
• Review the month-end closing and prepare the financial report with variance analysis and highlight the financial position for management attention.
• Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processes and annual employer tax return filing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll / tax calculations, deductions, and disbursements.
• Liaise with bankers for term deposit and other banking issues.
• Report and liaise with relevant government departments such as Education Bureau, SWD, IRD on submission of audited accounts for annual filing, written resolution on bank/finance matters and annual tax filings etc.
• Prepare the consolidated financial statements for year-end audit and liaise with auditors on audit reports.
• Ongoing review of accounting policies and ensure the compliance of HK Financial Reporting Standards and statutory requirements.

Requirements :

• A recognized degree in Accountancy or related areas and a professional accountancy qualification preferred
• 5 years’ relevant working experience in NGO, Social Welfare Department subvented services or school setting
• Experience in supervising subordinates and well versed with EDB & SWD’s rules in grants and salary arrangement would be a definite advantage
• Candidate with less experience may consider as Accounting Manager 
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting standards
• Self-motivated with can-do attitude, good team player with good leadership and under pressure with tight deadline, hard-working, well organized, eager to learn, flexible and patient
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
