Job Summary:
As an Assistant Logistics Manager, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing our logistics operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective movement of goods, on-time deliveries, and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include overseeing logistics processes, coordinating with suppliers and carriers, maintaining accurate inventory records, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and meet customer requirements.
- Monitor and optimize logistics processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficient solutions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, track shipments, and perform regular inventory reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure appropriate stock levels and manage inventory replenishment.
- Analyze logistics data and generate reports to evaluate performance, identify trends, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and safety guidelines in logistics operations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of logistics strategies, goals, and initiatives.
- Train and mentor logistics team members, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience 5 years in logistics operations, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in using logistics management software and systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accuracy and precision in logistics operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry-specific logistics requirements and best practices.
