Our client is a well renowned retail jewelry store in Hong Kong, Macau, China and Taiwan. They are looking for a dedicated Senior Data Scientist to join their fast growing team. 

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll be responsible for leading projects focused on the development of data science models on customer and retail analytics as well as generative AI applications to automate work and enhance shopping experience. Your work will involve creating advanced models, making data-driven decisions, and developing new ways to use AI in order to improve our business processes and meet our strategic objectives.

This role will not only propose and design projects, but also work with the team in the end-to-end project cycle, from analyzing data, modeling, application development to MLOps. Strong candidate will also have chance to lead the team. 

You will:

• Lead and manage data science projects from conceptualization to completion.
• Analyse data and formulate data science models to solve business problems, like customer analytics, product recommendation, etc. 
• Develop generative AI applications to automate business processes and to innovate new products to enhance customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify opportunities for AI applications and to develop data science/ AI models into software products.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders and team members to drive decision-making.
• Monitor and maintain the model quality.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and data science and integrate new technologies into our existing systems and processes.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines. Research degrees are preferred.
• 7+ years of working experience in areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in design, development, and deployment of machine learning solutions as products.
• Passionate about AI applications in daily business environment 
• Solid understanding of different machine learning algorithms and use cases in retail industry.
• Solid experience in SQL, Python, libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Power BI, Generative AI model application building (GANs, LangChain) are strongly desired.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and analytically
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Knowledge of generative AI model in mainland will be a plus
• Familiar with MLOps, version control and agile methodology will be a plus
