We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:

 

Part-time Technical Assistant (R7033) (R6491) (S&T) (Ref: 24000U1)

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will mainly assist the Principal Investigator in the research projects “Development of Sand-Free Plastering Solutions for Green Building (R7033) and “The Development of Recycled Oyster Shell Waste in Polymer-modified Green Concrete towards Enhanced Mechanical Properties and Environmental Benefits” (R6491).   He / She will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Conducting experimental research as instructed by the Investigator;
  • Performing data analysis and assisting in report writing and presentation of the results;
  • Designing and preparing research paper for publication;
  • Assisting in literature searching; and
  • Carrying out other research activities as instructed by the Investigator.

 

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:   

  • At least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics / a Diploma or above, preferably in a science-related subject;
  • Knowledge in current sustainability in industrial environment is preferred;
  • Experience in graphic design and publication editing will be an advantage; and
  • Strong sense of responsibility, effective organizational and good communication skills.

 

Duration of Appointment

Six months commencing from June 2024 or as soon as possible.

 

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
