We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration:
 

Part-time/Temp Research Associate/Assistant I/II / Technical Assistant (Project no: R6414) (B&A) (Ref: 24000O9) 

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Collecting data from the Internet;
• Conducting data analysis and compiling reports;
• Implementing machine learning algorithms;
• Performing other programming tasks under the supervision of the investigator; and
• Providing assistance in other areas related to the research project.

Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• Preferably a recognized higher degree in computing or related area;
• Good publication record;
• Strong data analytics and programming skills in Python or Java;
• Experience in collecting information from Websites via a Web scrapping tool;
• Prompt engineering for large language models;
• Proficiency in implementing artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning algorithms; and
• Willing to learn new technologies and able to work independently. Knowledge in online learning is preferable but not essential.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary / part-time contract.  Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
