Assistant Technical Officer (Ref. 240522004-IE)

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a) maintain and ensure smooth operation of the flight simulators in the Unit;

(b) provide technical support and training to the flight simulator users;

(c) provide technical support to teaching and learning as well as research activities that are related to Aviation Engineering;

(d) manage the safety standard of Aviation Engineering Laboratory in compliance with code of practice;

(e) handle the procurement of consumables, equipment and services related to teaching and research laboratories of the Unit and comply with the University’s standing procedures and all related requirements; and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have:

(a) a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related disciplines;

(b) good aviation knowledge of or relevant experience in flight simulator or flight simulation software;

(c) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(d) proactive working attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
