Job Description
As the key driver of the Group’s sustainable development, the Sustainability Manager is responsible for sustainability policy and framework formulation and implementation of group-wide ESG KPIs and actionable items aligning global ESG trends and practices to raise the Group’s ESG portfolio, performance and presence in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the Group's sustainability strategy, coordinating cross-functional teams and the Sustainability Committee;
- Develop and implement a performance management framework with key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sustainability progress;
- Collaborate with business units and sustainability experts to execute initiatives, establish performance metrics and conduct assessments aligned with the Group sustainability strategy;
- Work with internal teams and external resources to develop and deliver, training and capacity building programmes for colleagues to empower them with selected sustainability topics including circular economy, climate risks and other topics;
- Responsible to lead sustainability stakeholder’s engagement and materiality assessment review and organize sustainability steering committee meetings, update, monitor and report progress;
- Support audit assurance and coordinate internal and external parties for the Group’s ESG disclosures;
- Lead the Sustainability Report and literature in accordance with Hong Kong and international requirements and best practices;
- Oversee data analysis, validation, and reporting processes to provide accurate sustainability insights;
- Responsible for Group’s submission for sustainability related awards, competitions, schemes, campaign, programmes and related initiatives performances (i.e. ESG score and rankings);
- Support communications for proper storytelling with the aim to elevate brand equity in sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in environmental science/ sustainable development/ business administration / communications or other related disciplines;
- Well-versed in Hong Kong and international environmental laws especially those related to communications and marketing, ESG disclosures requirements and regulatory processes;
- Experience in crisis communications and issues management, with the ability to effectively navigate and respond to challenging situations in a timely and strategic manner, especially for sustainability related matters.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and analytics tools, allowing for the measurement and evaluation of communication campaigns and initiatives.
- Fluent in English & Chinese (both written and spoken);
- Strong understanding of branding and messaging, with the ability to maintain consistency and align communications with the company's overall brand identity and sustainability positioning;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills;
- Good functional knowledge on social media platforms.
