The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

Position 1) Summer Trainee - Gatehouse

• Understand the overall terminal operations & planning functions
• Learn the use of globalized and modern Terminal Operating System (TOS) to support operations needs
• Work on project about the study of automation level of gatehouse operations
• Assist in the administration and daily support tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present to management on the assigned project topic at the end of the internship program

Position 2) Summer Trainee - Ship Planning

• Understand the overall terminal operations & planning functions
• Learn the use of globalized and modern Terminal Operating System (TOS) to support operations needs
• Work on project about the changes of global shipping and its impact to Ship Planning
• Assist in the administration and daily support tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present to management on the assigned project topic at the end of the internship program

Position 3) Summer Trainee - Yard Planning

• Understand the overall terminal operations & planning functions
• Learn the use of globalized and modern Terminal Operating System (TOS) to support operations needs
• Work on project about the role of yard planning in container terminal industry
• Assist in the administration and daily support tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present to management on the assigned project topic at the end of the internship program

The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

• Undergraduate in Year 3 or Year 4 in Logistics and Supply Chain or related discipline
• Interested in container terminals & logistics industry
• Responsible, detail-minded, and well-organized
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
