We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:
Temporary Research Assistant II (R6556) (S&T) (Ref: 240015M)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the Principal Investigator in a research project “Quantum Machine Learning for Electroencephalogram Classification” (R6556). He / She will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Conducting literature search;
- Reproducing codes and results of papers published in top-tier conferences and journals;
- Developing algorithms and performing data analysis;
- Assisting in report writing and presentation of the results; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Engineering or a related discipline;
- Good communication and presentation skills in English;
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively and independently;
- Experience in Python and / or MATLAB programming;
- Familiar with machine learning libraries; and
- Experience or knowledge of quantum computing is definitely an asset.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
