Job Description

A fast growing life insurance company in Hong Kong, a provider of a wide range of life insurance and investment products for individual and corporate clients, is looking for a high caliber assistant investment accounting manager to join their dynamic finance function. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the month-end closing for investment assets, including performing investment accounting, reconciling fund units, and posting manual journals
  • Provide input to company and group level investment reporting at investment asset to ensure adherence to all internal and external reporting requirements
  • Maintain a solid understanding of regular investment asset operations, such as investment asset valuation, settlement and other management activities
  • Serve as a preparer or checker for financial reporting and analysis tasks, including month-end closing, internal management accounts, account schedules and financial commentary analysis 
  • Support annual tax filing and year end audit work to uphold proper controls and governance
  • Regularly review current processes and procedures and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and mitigate risks
  • Any other tasks or ad hoc projects as assigned by the manager to support the overall objectives to the team

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Investment or related discipline with minimum 4 years experiences in investment accounting function
  • Qualified Accountant is a must
  • Good knowledge in insurance accounting and investment accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge of Oracle account, SUN account, LifeAsia and back office system will be an advantage
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese
  • Able to work independently, under pressures and demanding deadlines
