Job Summary:

As a DevOps Engineer (On-premise), you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain our on-premises infrastructure and ensure the smooth delivery of software applications. You will be responsible for automating and improving our software development and deployment processes, while ensuring system performance, scalability, and reliability. Your expertise in on-premises infrastructure, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, and cloud technologies will contribute to the success of our development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the on-premises infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline the build, deployment, and release processes using CI/CD practices and tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, for application deployment and scaling.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and proactive identification of bottlenecks.
• Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery mechanisms for on-premises infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to security standards and implement necessary controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, providing timely support to development and operations teams.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential for improving our infrastructure and processes.
• Provide guidance and support to development and operations teams on DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience 2-3 years as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a focus on on-premises infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of on-premises infrastructure components, such as servers, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies, preferably with experience in hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with security practices and standards in on-premises infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on finding efficient and scalable solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
