Our Ocean Freight Procurement team is expanding! We invite now high calibre talent to apply for Senior Specialist - Global Ocean Freight Procurement to join our rapidly growing team in Hong Kong. This position supports supply chain operation with a fast-paced successful team.

Responsibilities.
 

• Conduct Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes to obtain competitive bids from service provided. Evaluate and negotiate with potential service providers, as well as review of contract terms and conditions.
• Maintain consistency and compliance in logistics operations. Develop, implement and modify the process for optimization and ensure the SOP reflects the operations and remain consistent across the business.
• Conduct periodic business reviews to evaluate logistics performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets. Analyze data, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize logistics operations. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost reduction. Identify process bottlenecks, implement best practices, and leverage technology and data analytics to streamline logistics processes in end-to-end supply chain. 
• Coordinate and oversee logistics projects, such as new process launches, process improvement, or ad-hoc projects. Work with cross-functional teams, set project goals, establish timelines, and ensure successful project execution.
• Address and resolve special issues, exceptions, and stakeholders’ queries related to logistics operations. This requires effective communication, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution. 
• Build and maintain relationships with services providers and internal teams. This involves regular communication, negotiation and collaboration for developing strong partnerships and good understanding on market trends and industry update.
• Support Manager on ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Your Profile.

• At least tertiary education with minimum 6 years of full-time relevant experience, preferably in Carrier/ Freight Forwarder/ Buying/ Sourcing offices
• Experience in reporting and analytics support in logistics field is advantageous
• Good command of both verbal and written business English as well as fluency in Mandarin essential
• Excellent analytic, problem solving and project management skills
• Good communications and interpersonal skills, team player
• Attention to details and good organizational, coordination and planning skills
• High level of computer literacy: MS Office and Exchange; advanced Excel knowledge
• Experience with Logistics IT Software Solution is advantageous
