We are looking for an experienced and creative industrial designer to join our in-house design team and work on designing innovative and functional products for our own brand, which is known for its high-quality and innovative phone/computer accessories and small electronic appliances. You will be responsible for following our established design language, creating concepts, developing prototypes, and collaborating with engineers, manufacturers, and product managers. You will also be managing a designer in China and liaising with other stakeholders to ensure the quality and feasibility of our products. You will report directly to a design manager and a brand team, who will provide you with guidance and feedback on your work.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, analyze market trends, and identify user needs to generate creative design concepts
• Create sketches, renderings, or computer-aided design (CAD) models to visualize and communicate your ideas
• Develop physical prototypes and test them for functionality, usability, ergonomics, and aesthetics
• Work with engineers, manufacturers, and product managers to evaluate the technical and commercial aspects of your designs
• Manage a designer in China and provide feedback and guidance on their work
• Liaise with other stakeholders, such as clients, suppliers, and marketing teams, to ensure the alignment of your designs with their requirements and expectations
• Present your designs and demonstrate your prototypes stakeholders for approval
• Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in industrial design and related fields

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial design, product design, or related field
• At least 5 years of proven experience as an industrial designer, preferably in phone/computer accessories and small electronic appliances
• Portfolio of previous design projects that demonstrate your creativity, skills, and achievements
• Proficient in using CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Rhino, and other design tools, such as Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability principles
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, Mandarin is a plus
