We invite now high caliber talent to apply for Product Design Specialist / Product Designer to join our rapidly growing sourcing team in Hong Kong. This position supports product development and commercialization with a fast-paced successful team.

Responsibilities.

• Researches global Retail trends and new product development.
• Attends relevant trade fairs for research and product knowledge development where required.
• Assists in competitive analysis, market research and gap analysis in order to provide Sourcing teams’ information and insight into market trends.
• Communicates and collaborates with International Buying Design Team.
• Generates concepts & design of colours, materials and finishes on products.
• Provides input to the modification of product with alignment of customer requirements.
• Ensures accurate translation of design vision into the manufactured product where applicable/ necessary.
• Supports in managing Packaging Artwork processes and Service providers.
• Supports in work templates design such as Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentations and other working files.
• Effectively communicates with Sourcing, Quality, CR, Admin and Suppy Chain Management team members to ensure the success of Direct Buying operations. Works in a team with colleagues to share information and best practice. Undertakes shared or individual team responsibilities as defined by the Director.
• Ensures that all documentation within his/ her area of responsibility is archived properly and ensures its safe disposal at the end of the archive period.
• Ensures that all correspondence is treated in the strictest confidence.
• Actively manages his/her area of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency.
• Support the training of employees and trainees from other areas.

Your Profile.

• At least (Non-Degree) Tertiary education required.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience, preferably gained in sourcing/buying offices, working with Household / Decorations / Consumer products.
• Experience on Product Development is a must.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player.
• Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn.
• Attention to detail and good organizing, coordination and planning skills.
• General knowledge of MS office and Exchange essential.
• High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness.
