Job Description

You will be responsible to provide weekly reporting on E&M work progress, outstanding items and follow up procedures for projects as required.

Carry out regular coordination and checking on E&M consultants’ submission including but not limited to design proposals, tender drawings package and technical report to ensure the provisions suit client requirements.

Deliver in-house E&M feasibility studies and assessment on technical engineering provisions, associated cost item, and estimated time incurred with recommendations to assist facilitate senior management’s consideration.

Supervise contractors’ E&M coordination and site works schedule to ensure the timeline, quality standard and budget meets client’s expectation. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Able to outline project objective and scope of works for new built/ A&A projects related to E&M matters including appointment of E&M consultants, engagement of E&M contractors, review technical provisions and content of E&M contract works as required;
  • Attend regular project/ site meeting to coordinate all E&M issues with consultants/ contractors/ property management; Initiate ad-hoc meetings to chase outstanding matters to keep project timeline on track with required deliverables;
  • Capable to assess, comment and come up with advice/ solutions on consultants/ contractors E&M proposals to ensure the works meet client’s requirements;
  • Able to identify critical path and critical issues for project related to E&M matters;
  • Provide in-house technical feasibility studies on existing base building E&M system; Advice on generic E&M specification and recommendations on upgrade E&M system; Assist to obtain quotation, carry out analysis to make recommendations for award;
  • Monitor and review consultants/ contractors variations submission, check payment stage entitlement according to contract scope and actual work done;
  • Review and assist in value engineering for E&M cost assessment;
  • Manage site staff (RBSI) and E&M consultant coordination with contractors;
  • Organize and manage the procedures for testing and commissioning to prepare for project completion;

 

Requirements:

  • Holder of Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related disciplines and member of HKIE, CIBSE, IMechE or equivalent;
  • At least 5 years’ relevant working experience in managing design/ upgrade and installation of building services for A&A and new built from small to large-scale high-end luxury residential and commercial/ retail projects while experience in 5-star hotel and overseas experience (Macau/ PRC/ Singapore) is an advantage. 
  • Effective interpersonal with strong logical thinking and project management skills;
  • Good communication skills, able to structure and summarize critical points for reporting;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese / Cantonese and Putonghua; Able to structure synopsis and write recommendation for internal management approval; 
  • Meticulous, able to meet tight schedule and under pressure. ­
  • Openness, flexible and fast responses on project requirement changes.
