AIDS Concern plans to implement projects on HIV prevention and education for the various communites with highest risk of HIV infection in Hong Kong. We need a Prevention Officer/Counsellor (Testing and Counselling team) to help to take interventions which can respond to the epidemic of HIV within various communites in Hong Kong. 

In that sense, we need a dedicated and responsible candidate with genuine interest in NGO services to join our T&C team as 

Prevention Officer / Counsellor (Testing and Counselling team)

The successful candidate will be responsible for

• Coordinate the HIV/STIs prevention projects for high-risk communites in Hong Kong;
• Provide Voluntary Counselling and Testing to high-risk communities in the Centre or mobile venues;
• Provide training and workshop for the project;                                     
• Provide individual and group counselling, and medical-escort service for vulnerable communities;
• Managing administration work of the project such as service log sheet and attendance record;
• Daily operations of the team to ensure effective execution of the project in a timely and quality manner;
• Other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

We are looking for candidates who are

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counselling, Communication Study, or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years solid working experience in NGO setting
• Familiar with topics and interventions related with sexual health and/or MSM community is a definite advantage
• Good understanding about the current situation and difficulties for PLHIV
• Good team player and strong communications skills. Able to form collaborations among various parties
• Pro-active, well organized, acts effectively with good quality and is able to meet set timelines
• Have a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
• Well vested with Microsoft office and knowledge on design software such as Excel, Word, Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
