Job Description
Our client is a well-known MNC in the fashion industry. They are looking for an Employment Counsel to join their APAC legal team. Based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for a broad variety of legal matters relating to employment law in APAC.
Responsibilities:
● Drive best practices to ensure global employment compliance.
● Provide legal advice on a wide variety of employment law compliance issues, including but not limited to labour laws, workplace safety, working hours, compensation, employee benefits, and data protection.
● Conduct research on legal and regulatory developments in APAC with respect to employment law.
● Partner with HR and other teams to draft and review employment contract, policies, practices, and process.
● Ensure the organisation meet legal standards, regulations, or ethical practices related to employment and workplace laws.
● Stay informed about changes in employment laws and adjusting policies and updating employee handbooks accordingly.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree or above in laws.
● Qualified lawyer in HK, Australia or other common law jurisdiction.
● Minimum 5 years PQE with relevant experience gained in MNCs or international law firms.
● Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate legal requirements to non-legal partners.
● Ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
● Good proficiency in English.
