Job Description
About The Position
The position will be responsible for the administration of Animal Birth Control Programmes including bookings and arrangements for operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- To take responsibility for assisting the general public in accessing the Animal Birth Control Programmes: The mobile surgical unit SNV, the Mongrel Desexing Programme, the Cat Colony Care Programme and the Spay Neuter Assistance Programme.
- Assist the Programme coordinators & administrators in liaising with the public, data collection and report production.
- To carry out any other duties assigned by the Animal Birth Control Programmes Manager.
- Make bookings and arrangements for the SNV, MDP, CCCP and SNAP to ensure full utilization of the facility. Assist with the dissemination of information to clients including but not limited to suitability for use, location, procedures and preparation, and also assist with booking confirmation and any administration tasks including financial transections as delegate. To assist with case follow up service.
- Liaise with other departments within the SPCA on matters concerning the Animal Birth Control Programmes issues.
- Assist in the promotion of the society at public events.
- Organise and structure surgical schedules as directed by the Animal Birth Control Programmes Manager or Deputy Director, Welfare Operations and co-ordinate use of surgical facilities with other staffs.
- Be aware of public relations issues involving the Welfare Department and liaise with AFCD, private vets and any other relevant bodies maintaining a good working relationship.
Qualification & Requirements
- F5/DSE graduate above.
- 1-2 year’s secretarial or administrative experience.
- Good command of written or spoken Cantonese (Putonghua proficiency would be an advantage) and English as well as be computer literate (Word and Excel).
- Polite, honest and strong sense of responsibility.
- A good team player who can work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine interest in the welfare of animals.
