Job Description
The Job
In this dynamic role, you will support the development and management of Mainland-related scholarship and fellowship schemes. You will join an impactful initiative that partners with leading universities (both in Hong Kong and overseas) and institutions in the Mainland to cultivate top talent in medical and health.
You will
- Support the development and implementation of talent development programmes, HKJC-funded Scholarships and Fellowships programmes, with particular focus on Mainland-related schemes and programmes. This includes programme implementation and improvement, talent and community building, and impact measurement to achieve the projects stated objectives, outcomes and impact.
- Support operations of the Scholarship Secretariat to launch and manage new and existing scholarship schemes and programmes, including promotion and recruitment, rigorous selection process, budgetary planning and control, legal and compliance matters, and engagement programmes for Scholars and Fellows. Work closely with internal and external partners in the above processes.
- Support the coordination and liaison with Mainland stakeholders and partners (including government agencies and project partners), overseas and Mainland tertiary institutions, government bureaux and departments, schools, and service providers to implement the projects. Build rapport and relationship to enable project management, and progress and impact monitoring.
- Provide support to the preparation of progress reports, committee papers and impact reports for regular updates to Club management, committee meetings and board submission.
- Produce and co-ordinate promotion and communication work such as publicity collaterals, videos, websites, events and workshops to create awareness and impact.
- Coordinate administration work related to the development and implementation of programmes and related projects such as filing, database maintenance, document and correspondence handling, liaison of meetings and budgeting control.
- Be part of the team to build the Scholars / Fellows community into a talent network to create sustainable programme impact. Organise and support the planning, implementation of programme events to engage and build trusted relationships with Scholars / Fellows, key stakeholders and programme partners to ensure programme impact is well-communicated and achieved.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 4-8 years’ relevant experience, experience working in the Mainland, and in the education or public administration sector
- Strong communication skills and language proficiency in Chinese (including written Chinese and Putonghua) and English
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Project management skills
- Passion and career interest in education and talent development
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
