Job Description

Our client is a NGO that is looking for a senior professional to look after both capital works and facilities operation. The right candidates require extensive project management experience,

 

Responsibilities:         

Project management

  • Develop a vision for the development and improvement of physical infrastructures in collaboration with diverse stakeholders to improve campus infrastructure, enhance campus security, benefit student well-being and regulatory compliance 
  • Lead and manage complex renovation projects with diverse internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory parties 
  • Oversee all ongoing construction and A&A projects, ensuring their successful execution, and adherence to quality standards and rigorous attention to budget
  • Lead a project team to manage contractors, project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively 
  • Financial Management - monitor project budgets, expenses, and cash flows of the projects. Identify potential financial risks and implement appropriate measures to safeguard the school’s financial interests. Collaborate with the finance team to prepare accurate financial reports 
  • Standardizing processes and set up effective documentation management 
     

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Facility Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in strategic planning, budgeting, facility management, and project management
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects 
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and codes related to facility management and project management
  • Excellent leadership and team building and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce of different nationalities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders from Board Members, Senior Management, regulatory parties, staff, parents, students, contractors, and workers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Adaptable, perseverant and willing to learn and evolve with changing circumstances
  • Proficiency in using facility management software, project management software, and other relevant technology tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and fluent in Cantonese and written communication in Chinese. 
  • Knowledge of schools and the non-profit sector is an advantage.
