Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the team of Chai Wan Depot (CWD) and Wong Chuk Hang Depot (WCD) and Wong Chuk Hang Depot (WCD)
• Develop and manage maintenance plan for the passenger trains and recommend continuous improvement to train service
• Ensure and maintain safety, reliability and availability of passenger trains to maximise the fare revenue and optimise asset life according to the established maintenance regime with an effective and efficient utilisation of resources
• Ensure performance of passenger trains is in compliance with the related Operating Agreement and System Performance Standard by anticipating and resolving train operational / technical / interface issues
• Investigate major incidents, develop preventive and remedial measures, as well as manage the maintenance and service contractors in the depot
• Uphold the staff motivation and communication/consultation programmes and foster a collaborative working environment

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or in a relevant engineering discipline
• A minimum of 12 years’ railway experiences, of which 6 years should be at maintenance and/or engineering managerial/senior supervisory positions
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognized professional engineering institution is preferred
• Be a self-driven individual with broad management capability, excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure
