Job Description
Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor (Macau)
Our client is an international consultancy firm with extensive experience in real estate and infrastructure sectors. They are now looking for QS talents for ALL levels with a focus on Commercial and Retails projects.
Job Description:
- Responsible for pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties for MEP Works
- Manage existing client base via contacts made on existing projects
- Take financial lead - analyse and control project costs, prepare and substantiate claims where necessary, make recommendations for payments, submit applications and ultimately, endeavor to deliver projects on time and in budget.
- Assist in advising Senior Management in relation to succession planning, development and training of personnel.
- Attend meetings and site inspections when required
- Ensure provision of services adheres to Consultancy Agreement and to Client’s satisfaction.
- Provide sound financial management i.e. Fee vs Cost/Resource
- Timely invoicing and debt collection.
- Conduct feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
- Responsible for post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Preparation of pre-contract cost estimates and project cash-flow
- Preparation of tender documentation
- Tendering process and tender evaluation
- Ensure the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client Value engineering and life cycle costing
Qualifications:
- Higher Diploma and/or Degree in Building Services Engineering or Quantity Surveying, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Fully experienced in the provision of core MEP QS services from feasibility / concept through to finalization of accounts
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and lead a team to achieve success working in collaborative team environment
- Experienced, in the provision of some specialist services (i.e. life cycle costing, sustainability, risk analysis etc).
- Possess excellent communication skill and strong interpersonal skill and able to interact effectively with external parties
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Cantonese
- Excellent technical knowledge and experience across the full range of Cost Management duties including: Cost Estimates, Bills of Quantities, Value Engineering, Tendering and Evaluation
- Experience from MEP QS background, mechanical and electrical (M&E) work experience is highly preferred.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
