Caritas-Hong Kong is a Catholic charitable agency which provides, among others, multi-service social welfare/ services to needy people of Hong Kong. The Finance Office is looking for responsible and industrious candidates for the following position.

Accounting Assistants

The incumbents will work under the supervision of SAA for General Ledger and Reporting duties.

Responsibilities

1. Perform daily accounting duties for general ledger, e.g. preparation of journals, and bank reconciliation, etc.
2. Assist in the preparation of analyses of accounts and monthly reporting statement for service units and projects
3. Check any variance between budget and actual book for service units and projects;
4. Liaise with internal and external parties on accounting matters
5. Participate in fundraising activities (e.g., Caritas Bazaar)
6. Provide administrative support and participate in other ad hoc projects as required

Requirements

1. Grade E / Level 2 / “Attained” or above in 5 subjects of HKCEE / HKDSE, including HKCEE English Language (Syllabus B) / English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics
2. Preference will be given to Diploma/ Higher Diploma holders
3. LCCI Level 2 Certificate in Book-keeping and Accounts is preferred
4. Relevant accounting work experience is an advantage but not essential, preference will be given to candidates with 1 to 2 years of accounting work experience
5. Familiar with major ERP Systems is an advantage but not essential
6. Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word) and Chinese Word Processing
7. Self-motivated with can-do attitude, good team player, able to work independently and under pressure with tight deadline, hard-working, well organized, eager to learn, flexible and patient
8. Immediate availability is highly preferred

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
