Clinical Psychologist (Part time / Contract)

Requirements: 

• Holder of Master or Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Educational Psychology Minimum 1 year post-graduate experience in school or private practice setting
• Fluent in English + Cantonese and/or Mandarin reading, writing and speaking 
• Eligible for membership in HKICP or HKACP 
• Experienced in the areas of special educational needs 
• Training in different psychotherapy approaches, including but not limited to play therapy, expressive arts therapy, creative arts therapy, and cognitive-behavioural therapy an advantage
• Minimum 2 weekdays per week (Salary calculated on pro rata basis)

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct psychological assessments of students with learning, behavioural and/or emotional challenges
• Prepare and present written assessment reports for the purpose of designing interventions and programming to support students with social, learning, and behavioural difficulties and applying for access arrangements and accommodations 
• Design and implement interventions for social, learning, and behavioural issues 
• Designs and follows up on psychotherapy / treatment plan 
• Develops the clinical protocols through clinical practice and clinical research
• Provide consultations, workshops and training for parents, colleagues, and professionals at educational institutions, NGOs, and other centres 
• Coordinate care for students between their families, teachers, learning support assistants, and other professionals by making recommendations, and helping to develop and administer appropriate therapies and strategies
