Job Description

Reporting to Senior Manager (Market Research), the incumbent will undertake the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a resourceful partner across divisions to ensure the Research initiatives meets the needs of IA
  • Conduct research studies on the insurance market, regulatory development, industry trends, market practices, surveillance and other issues locally and in major jurisdictions for formulating policy initiatives
  • Recommend and apply the most appropriate methodology to collect data from insurance companies and relevant bodies for research studies
  • Participate in data analysis, insight generation, preparing reports on thematic market research and provide actionable recommendations
  • Conduct research work for the IA’s public education 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in economics, statistics, insurance, finance or related fields 
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience with solid track record in economic and financial market research and analysis, or in policy and regulatory related issues 
  • Experience in financial market research and analysis with strong quantitative background, or in policy and regulatory related issues is an advantage 
  • Good understanding of the financial market and insurance industry
  • Excellent research, analytical and data management skills
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese
  • Self-motivated and professional; Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Agile and able to work in a dynamic working environment
