Job Description
The Job
- Formulate and implement various stakeholder engagement strategies;
- Plan and roll out stakeholder engagement exercises of different types like consultations on new initiatives;
- Assist and coordinate the public engagement of Senior Management of the Authority;
- Assist in exploring untapped stakeholders for broadening the stakeholder engagement coverage;
- Supervise team members to formulate and execute various stakeholder programmes, including organizing activities with labour unions, district bodies, special cohorts like casual employees and self-employed persons, etc. to ensure the quality and timeliness of various deliverables and programmes;
- Assist in planning, preparing and coordinating the communication of messages with various stakeholders on the established database;
- Give talks and briefings to various stakeholders; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The Person
- A recognized degree, preferably in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or equivalent;
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, publicity, marketing, public affairs or related fields, of which at least four years should be at Manager level, preferably gained from sizable corporations or public organizations (candidates with lower qualification but have seasoned experience in relevant fields may also be considered);
- Effective people-to-people communicator with a passion to deal with and convince people;
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and fluency in Putonghua a definite advantage;
- Staying abreast of market and regulatory developments, as well as stakeholders’ expectations in making decisions;
- Adaptable and flexible to new possibilities and approaches; and be positive and perseverant;
- Skillful in building networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Able to explain complex and technical issues succinctly to different audience.
Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
