Reporting to the Assistant Director (Student Learning and Development) and Team Head of Academic Affairs of the MBA Programme Office (‘Office’), the appointee will focus on academic affairs within the Student Learning and Development Team (‘SLD’), which is formed by two sub-teams – academic affairs and student affairs.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing support to assigned supervisors in planning, executing, and overseeing administrative tasks related to academic affairs, including faculty teaching support, course administration, course planning, class scheduling, quality assurance, academic applications and advising, special programmes, and other assigned administrative projects and tasks; (b) developing and implementing administrative logistics for academic content processes, teaching delivery, and courses, ensuring the highest levels of teaching and learning effectiveness and efficiency while adhering to relevant academic standards and policies; (c) working with supervisors to establish work standards and operational procedures for the programme’s academic and student affairs, and ensuring their professional implementation; (d) closely collaborating with and occasionally providing support to student affairs colleagues to ensure a satisfying learning and teaching experience for both students and faculty members; (e) serving as supporting staff or a key administrator for various committees, as well as quality assurance and ranking/accreditation task forces; (f) collaborating with the Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Team in the development and management of student societies, LEAP schemes, events, and activities; (g) working closely with the Marketing and Admission Team in the development and management of admission processes, including the screening and selection of applicants; and (h) undertaking other impromptu duties as assigned. The position will entail working flexible hours, which may include weekends, and occasional business travel.
Applicants should have/ be (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo (for Executive Officer II); (iii) at least 5 years (for Executive Officer II) or 2 years (for Project Co-ordinator II) of post-qualification experience in relevant areas of the tertiary education sector; (iv) good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively engage and establish positive relationships with stakeholders; (v) good written and verbal communication in English, and a good command of Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua); (vi) good reporting and data analysis skills; (vii) the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks under pressure, and maintain a high level of attention to detail; and (viii) willing to take on other administrative roles or duties as assigned by the Administrative Director of the Office. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test and interview.

Appointment will initially be made up to 2 years (with contract-end-gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
