Executive Officer I (carrying the job title of ‘Senior Manager, Admissions’), Office of Undergraduate Studies (Ref. 240001OV) (Closing date: July 12, 2024)

The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. The School has been offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (DBA, MBA, MSc, MAcc, EMBA, PhD) with over 4,600 students from 20+ countries/regions, as well as executive education programmes. The Office of Undergraduate Studies (UGO) of CUHK Business School, a vibrant and energetic office, is looking for a seasoned talent to join the team. 
Reporting to the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), Assistant Dean (Admissions) and Administrative Director of UGO, the appointee will be the project lead and collaborate with stakeholders in student recruitment for undergraduate business programmes of the School, and will be responsible to (a) overseeing admission strategies and special projects, in particular for international student recruitment, as well as conducting regular review and on-going enhancement to boost admissions rates; (b) conducting market analysis, developing admissions strategies by regions and implementing integrated digital / social campaigns with expanded programme options to key target segments; (c) planning and executing admissions initiatives to enhance local and international student recruitment; (d) managing and monitoring the entire admissions process; (e) establishing collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders in fostering admissions efforts; and (f) performing any other duties as assigned. Working beyond normal work hours and duty trips will be required.

Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 8 years’ post-qualification executive experience; (iv) an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including fluency in Putonghua); (v) excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills; (vi) solutions-oriented, open-minded, and receptive to changes and challenges; and (vii) self-motivated with the ability to work independently, under pressure and multitask within tight deadlines. Hands-on experience and understandings in student recruitment at the tertiary education sector would be advantageous.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
