Job Description
(Candidate with less experience can be considered for the post of Strategic Partnerships and Events Assistant)
(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)
The Strategic Partnerships and Events Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Strategic Partnerships and Events Team, managing venue hiring, external filming, and advertising business operations for Public Open Spaces and Special Venues.
You will be responsible for:
• managing day-to-day administration, operations and reporting of the cross-departmental Public Open Space and Special Venue Venue Hiring Committee;
• implementing the complete venue hiring and advertising sales process, which includes handling inquiries and site visits, preparing proposals, license agreements, and invoices, applying the VEM system, managing events, and conducting post-event follow-ups;
• communicating and working closely with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of all planned and ad-hoc events;
• conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify potential sales and new business;
• providing a wide range of administrative support to the team in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of business operations;
• maintaining and building good relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders; and
• performing ad hoc and special projects as requested.
You should:
• possess a recognised university degree in marketing and communication or related disciplines;
• have minimum 2 years of relevant experience in marketing/communication, sales/partnerships and event management;
• be proficient in creating high-quality PowerPoint decks to effectively communicate information and ideas in visually appealing and informative presentations;
• preferably have practical administrative experience in contracting or tendering process;
• be proficient in computer applications e.g. MS Office and Photoshop;
• be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) ;
• possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimum supervision; and
• be a detail-oriented, committed team player with good communication and presentation skills.
