Here at Digital Domain, our Autonomous Virtual Human team creates photorealistic, fully autonomous virtual humans powered by a variety of AI/ML and real-time tools. We are building a product to sell as a cloud-based, scalable solution for businesses who need virtual humans to help augment their workforce in a variety of ways. The applications of this product include healthcare, retail, customer service, entertainment, and much more.

We are seeking a Cloud / Platform Architect to help us build out our Autonomous Virtual Human product in the AWS cloud. Responsibilities will include the design, development, deployment, and operations of related services. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cloud-based architectures, scaling strategies and patterns, and have demonstrable experience with containerization.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop a robust, scalable AWS platform that integrates Unreal Engine deployments with AWS services and makes them available via multiple web channels.
• Ensure the platform supports real-time, high-fidelity video transmission with minimal latency at scale.
• Is responsible for all AWS environments and operations not limited to development, integration, CI/CD, UAT, Production etc. and has awareness of cost exposure and optimizations. 
• Work closely with a dedicated team of software engineers to refine and enhance our existing software architecture. Focus on achieving cloud optimization, ease of deployment, and scalability to ensure our infrastructure can support our growth ambitions and technological advancements.
• Support and maintain our products after their launch.

Requirements: 

• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
• 2-3 experience in AWS platform, etc.
• Significant experience with AWS and scaling optimizations.
• Strong experience with the AWS CDK and infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong experience with container management and orchestration - ECS, Fargate, EC2, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies - DR, blue-green, failover etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in both English and Chinese; a proactive, self-starting attitude with the capacity to take ownership within a dynamic, agile team environment.
• Provide domain expertise in DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods, and cultural practices within the team.
• Comfortable in an agile team environment - breaking down epics, planning, estimation.
