We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Studies:

Part-time Research Assistant II (N&HS) (Project No. R6558) (Ref: 24001G6)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in coordinating a research project on immersive virtual reality intervention for pain management. The study adopts a randomized controlled trial design and will be conducted in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. 

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Conducting literature review on relevant topics;
• Recruiting research participants;
• Assisting in conducting intervention;
• Assisting in data collection;
• Performing quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis; and
• Providing research-related assistance.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competence:

• A recognized Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in healthcare, social science, psychology, statistics or related disciplines;
• Proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage;
• A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; 
• A strong sense of self-motivation and responsibility; and 
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract.  Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
