About GX Foundation:
GX Foundation was founded in 2018 in Hong Kong as a response to the Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation. It is a tax-exempt charity. The name GX is derived from the Chinese word“共享”, pronounced "Gong Xiang", meaning "sharing". Leveraging Hong Kong's institutional and talent advantages, GX Foundation is a unique non-governmental, non-profit organization specializing in executing humanitarian medical aid in foreign countries.
Our short-term objective is to complete the cataract blindness elimination projects in Lao, Cambodia, Djibouti, Mauritania, and Senegal, and to implement vector borne disease control projects in Timor-Leste and other Belt and Road countries. In the medium to long term, GX Foundation aims to become a humanitarian NGO of global influence in the international public health and medical aid sector. GX is headquartered in Hong Kong. Most of the staff are Hong Kong residents.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, controlling inventory, warehousing or donation distribution.
- Propose transportation routes to maximise economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
- Participate in prices and terms negotiation with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
- Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
- Handle purchasing order and process Purchase, consumption and Inventory data.
- Working closely with fields team or logistics service providers in each country, assist in Import & Export customs declaration.
- Explore or identify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments for medical supplies or other donation material
- Build and keep accurate lead time and delivery schedule.
- Manage the procurement tracking record and relevant document filing.
- Work travel is required
Qualifications & experience
- Diploma or above.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Putonghua,
- Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of customer service orientation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good PC skills in MS Office.
