Job Description
Hong Kong Academy of Ballet provides professionally-oriented ballet training in a warm, nurturing environment ensures that students of all ages build a solid foundation in ballet technique and develop their artistry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Training in planning workshop development
- Maintain the day-to-day operations and administrative work of the Hong Kong Academy of Ballet (Academy)
- Provide leadership for continuous improvement and oversee the day-to-day operation of the Academy
- Set up and review policies and procedures of the Academy
- Plan, formulate and execute the Academy's activities and events, including but not limited to school performances, overseas ballet institution cultural exchange programs, and achieving business performance objectives
- Provide administrative support for the planning and delivery of courses and programs offered by the Academy, including recruitment of teaching staff, part-time helpers, quality assurance of programs and courses, and liaison with the Academy's partners
- Provide support for general office administration, including office management, budgeting, staff supervision, and preparation of reports
- Develop promotional plans, including arrangement of advertising, events, copywriting of social media posts & eDMs, marketing materials, and other workshop literature
- Liaise and maintain strong, professional relationships with external and internal partners and stakeholders on administrative matters of the Academy
- Handle student and parent-related administrative duties
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the department head
Requirements:
- University degree holder with knowledge and experience in performing arts and arts education
- At least 8 years of working experience, preferably in the arts and cultural field administration
- Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-task environment
- Practical experience in budgetary planning and control, as well as manpower management
- Excellent leadership skills with a strategic mindset, ability to be uplifting and motivating, approachable, and able to inspire others
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, Chinese, and Mandarin
- Ability to work under pressure and with flexible working hours
- Experience in event planning and knowledge of arts and culture would be an advantage
