The Assistant Manager will support the Director of the Center for Industry Engagement and Internship in promoting and managing internship engagements and co-curricular activities for engineering students. This role involves organizing industry and career-related events, fostering industry partnerships, and providing professional advice to various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Enhancing internship engagement among engineering students;
- Organizing and managing industry and career-related activities, including industrial visits, tech talks, career talks, workshops, competitions and events;
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with industry partners, and seeking new opportunities for student engagement;
- Working with vendors to maintain and update the internship and industrial training system, and supporting the development of internship programs;
- Offering professional advice and assistance to students, internal units, and external stakeholders on career development;
- Preparing statistical reports on internship participation;
- Coordinating other co-curricular activities not specified above within the School of Engineering when needed; and
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Applicant should have a recognized bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, communication or related disciplines with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Candidates should be detail-minded and comfortable with multitasking. They should also possess a positive attitude; good computer literacy; good communications, organizational and interpersonal skills; and a strong sense of responsibility and independence. An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is a must. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
