Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will work in the Jockey Club “Peace and Awareness” Mindfulness Culture in Schools Initiative (JC PandA) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The project aims at studying and promoting mindfulness culture in Hong Kong schools. He/She will be responsible for project planning and management of JC PandA with major tasks including:
- closely monitor the timeline of the project deliverables
- act as a secretary/liaison person in major meetings
- compile non-academic reports
- organise public education activities
- develop and execute the annual promotion and publicity plan
- any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, in Social Sciences, Management, Administration, or a related discipline
- at least 3 years’ relevant work experience, experience in implementation of community/education projects is preferred
- a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese & Putonghua)
- IT proficiency (including MS Word and MS Excel)
- good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
- ability to handle multiple tasks and be attentive to details under tight deadlines

The appointment will commence in September 2024 on temporary terms until November 2025.

Those with higher qualifications and more experience will be appointed as Administrative Assistant II.
