Role Purpose:

Our Product Development Engineer / New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing products with focus on gastro appliances and equipment.

What you will be handling: 

• Conceptualization: Brainstorm and create initial design concepts, develop new products and participates in all phases of product development including research, design and production
• Detailed Design: Develop detailed project plans, product specifications and prototypes
• Testing and Iteration: Evaluate and iterate on product prototypes to ensure functionality and performance 
• Production Validation: Assess production set up and provide engineering support across various manufacturing stages to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality and sourcing, to bring new products to market on time, meeting quality requirements and cost expectations
• Serviceability Considerations: Prioritize designs that allow for easy maintenance and repair

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

• Degree holder in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline 
• At least 5 years’ experience in product design and development, preferably in the gastro equipment or appliances industry 
• Strong technical skills in electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with 3D design, CAD software and prototyping tools
