Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Direct report to the Representatives of Building Manager
  • Responsible to the Building Manager and Project Consultant for the supervision and inspection of all the renovation, architectural and building works on site including working at height (i.e. used scaffolding, Gondola, working platform and etc.)
  • Act as Site Representative under the directions of the Building Manager and Project Consultant to ensure construction quality, progress and cost meets the contract requirement
  • Monitor the progress of renovation, architectural and building works on site against agreed procedures and programme
  • Inspect and examine materials used and workmanship employed in the renovation, architectural and building works including works manufactured/ fabricated offsite as may be required, all in full compliance with the contract requirements, approved materials and method statement, statutory approved plans and requirements
  • Coordinate site variations to deal with on-site difficulties and report to the Building Manager and Project Consultant
  • Carry out regular construction site quality inspection/audit to find out the defects of project works and prepare improvement/enhancement proposals to ensure all appointed contractors are in conformity with contract, specification, workmanship standards and relevant legislation
  • Handle enquiries and complaints on technical issues and take follow-up actions in professional manner
  • Attend site/project meetings and prepare weekly reports;
  • Carry out such other duties as directed by the Building Manager and Project Consultant.


Requirements:

  • Diploma / Higher Certificate in Building Studies, Construction Management or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in construction industry particularly in fitting out, renovation, alteration/addition works and associated building services installation works etc. 
  • Familiar with Building Regulations and construction details
  • Uncompromising integrity with good project management and supervisory skills to coordinate the work and communicate with all stakeholders, including project team and contractors
  • Strong communication skills, proactive, attentive to details, service centric and strong sense of responsibility
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Candidates with more experience will be considered as Clerk of Works
