Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and creating new business opportunities to generate revenue. This involves creating account plans and strategies for growth, identifying potential sales leads, pitching, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

Accountability and Duties:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, in order to expand customer base and achieve revenue targets.
  • Engage with prospects and customers through various communication channels, including face-to-face, phone, virtual, and written interactions.
  • Foster and develop sustainable long-term relationships with customers.
  • Compile business proposals, draft and review customer contracts.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and analyses and present findings through regular reporting.
  • Keep customer information and records up to date, including interactions, transactions, pipelines, and new business account plans in the designated CRM system.
  • Actively participate in industry-relevant events where appropriate to build business development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record in B2B sales, preferably in exhibition, events or media sectors.
  • Strong business development skills and presentation skills
  • A self-starter with the proven ability to plan, organise and meet agreed business objectives, targets and deadlines with a high level of attention to detail and delivery.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and an ability to work fully autonomously as well as a strong team player
  • Proficient in analysing competitive landscape and market dynamics.
  • Experienced in navigating complex sales scenarios and a proven history of delivering sales KPIs.
  • Competent in utilizing CRM systems for customer data management and sales opportunity forecasting.
