This programme is a two-year full-time training course organized by Hospital Authority (HA).

Programme Aims, Structure

This programme aims to prepare graduates to become competent, caring professional nurses with an understanding of the holistic nature of health and the ability to apply the principles, and demonstrate proficiency in providing nursing care for clients.

The programme is organized by the Hospital Authority (HA). This programme consists of theoretical and clinical components.

1. Venue of theoretical input: School of General Nursing, Grantham Hospital

2. Venue of clinical practicum: HA hospitals

Medium of instruction is mainly Chinese, supplemented with English. A variety of teaching and learning methods will be adopted, including lectures, seminars, tutorials, and field studies.

Professional Recognition

On successful completion of this programme, graduates are eligible to apply for enrolment with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong as Enrolled Nurse (General).

In case your application is not successful, you may consider joining HA via different job opportunities as supporting staff (e.g. Executive Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, etc). After possessing 1 year of working experience in HA, you may apply for HA's training sponsorship programme for supporting staff to undergo Enrolled Nurse (General) Training.

Each applicant should only submit ONE online application form for this programme "HA EN(General) Training Program" .

Applicants have to complete the fields marked with "*" in "Personal Information", "Education and Training", "Academic and Professional Attainment" and "Job Specific Questions". Applicants should indicate their choice of Class Intake and provide details of their public examination results e.g. HKDSE result in the section of "Academic and Professional Attainment" in the online application.

Applicants with qualifications in tertiary education are required to fill in the "Education and Training" and attach the copies of transcripts for verification.

If the section of "Work Experience" are not applicable, applicants could skip those parts by clicking the button of "save and continue".

Completed online application should be submitted with attachment of the copies of academic certificates and/ or documentary proof of the equivalent.

A set of attachment of credentials including results notice/ certificate of the HKDSE/ HKALE/ HKCEE (if applicable), Senior Secondary school reports, other academic certificates (if any) as well as evidence of work experience where applicable.

Each document uploaded should be a single file. Please make sure that the filename describes the content of the document.

Get ready all the information before you start filling the online application. The online application session would be expired if your application is left idle for over 60 minutes. You can amend your submitted data before the closing of the application.

Application with any of the following circumstances may not be further processed.

1. incomplete information in the online application; or

2. online application with incorrect information; or

3. submission of more than one online application from the same applicant; or

4. online application without attachment of copies of applicant's academic certificates/ transcripts (and/ or documentary proof of equivalent)

An application acknowledgment with an application number will be sent to applicants by email. If you do not receive any acknowledgment email after submission of your application, please contact the Admission Centre for HA Enrolled Nurse (General) Training Programme at 2300 6100/ 2300 6200 during office hours (Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm, except public holidays).

Shortlisted applicants would be invited for interview. Notification for interview (if any) and subsequent communication will be made via email. Applicants who do not receive any invitation email for interview from the Admission Centre for HA Enrolled Nurse (General) Training Programme by 16 September 2024 should consider their applications unsuccessful.

Applicants are required to produce the originals of all relevant documents for verification when you are invited to attend the Briefing/Registration session.
