Job Description

Department/ Cluster: Procurement & Materials Management Department, Kowloon East ClusterPay:  HK$19,188 to HK$23,323 per monthUp to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. Key Responsibility:

Perform clerical and purchasing duties following general instructions or prescribed procedures with minimal supervision. The typical duties include:1. Carry out procurement and materials management activities in accordance with the established guidelines and plans.2. To provide support to supervisors on asset management including but not limited to asset creation, board of condemnation etc.3. To liaise with relevant stakeholders in the supply chain to ensure the right goods and services are delivered efficiently.4. To generate, review and analyze procurement / consumption history / other procurement and material management reports, and give advice to supervisors and buying teams for formulation of procurement plan and creation of bulk contracts.5. To assist in coordinating the logistics arrangements between Offsite Store(s), UCH Store, General Out-patient Clinics and Stores in Cluster Hospitals and Institutions.6. To assist in handling product complaints, product quality feedback, product quality discrepancies, and to follow product recall and replacement issues.7. To assist in monitoring the contractor’s performance in review of identified risks in product failure and deficiencies arising from product recall and/or poor vendor performance.8. To carry out relevant day-to day procurement and materials management duties and emergency supply support functions. 9. To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisors.

Entry Requirements:1. F.5 / S.5 with:    (i) HKCEE 5 passes incl. Eng & Chin; or   (ii) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:        (a) Level 2 in Eng & Chin; and        (b) Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjectsAND diploma in a specialized function;OR2. F.5 / S.5 AND relevant diploma in a specialized function with experience Preferred Attributes/Exposure:1. Has 1 year or above in stores/warehouse experience is preferred.2. Knowledge of HA’s corporate systems and processes related to procurement and materials management including but not limited to ERP, EAM, ICS, MCIB etc.3. Qualification in purchasing, logistic and supplies, or equivalent.4.Good verbal and communication skills in English and Chinese.5.Familiar with the use of MS Word, Excel and database manipulation.6.Good communication and interpersonal skills.7.Able to work independently and under pressure.
