Job Description
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
• Manage seller agreement and stock order creation of auctions.
• Manage and track status of consignment paperwork and pipeline to ensure compliance requirements are met and required records are maintained.
• Work with Art Transport to manage shipping requests and quotes, including client approvals, export licenses and scheduling.
• Proactively track receipt of property and follow up on open issues and missing items.
• Work with Manager to process and track all costs associated with auctions ensuring accurate post sale settlement for all sale consignors.
• Assist with catalogue production where needed.
• Manage and track interest of auctions.
• Work closely with internal/external parties, such as vendors, supporting departments, specialists and counterparts in overseas offices.
• Participate in Telephone Bidding with clients during the auction when necessary to support the overall operation for the Department.
• Work closely with Private Sale Team
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
The Candidate
• Degree in Business or Art History is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years solid working experience in administrative/sales support function.
• Knowledge of email, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software (MS Office preferred).
• Ability to learn Christie’s systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Self-motivated, strong follow-up skills and high attention to details.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to manage time effectively with tight deadlines, as well as with international colleagues in different time zones.
